Beginnings - of the Earth and your life together. This ketubah is bordered by the first lines of the Torah from Beresheit. The deep blue background signifies the deep waters created from the void. Blue is also the color of knowledge, signifying depth of feeling and emotions. At the base is a peacock, a symbol of beauty and fertility, it's feathers forming a menorah. Stars of David enclose the sun and the moon - by which the days of the Hebrew calendar are marked. Two palm trees rise to the top of the manuscript representing both Succot and Shevuot. Jerusalem shines abode the tablets which enclose the ketubah text. Above the text appear the works "Ani l'dodi v'dodi li," "I am to my beloved as my beloved is to me." Giclee print.
