Chacaltaya Sage Llamaka Kipah - Cotton

Cool sage green with very pale yellow. The design is named for Chacaltaya (Aymara for "cold road") which is a mountain range in Bolivia that has a view of Lake Titicaca in the distance.

This kipah is hand-crocheted by women in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The designs and colors are inspired by traditional Andean textiles. The llama is a symbol of the Andes. It is the only domesticated animal suited to the high altitude and mountainous terrain of Bolivia.
