The essential message of Baal Shem Tov is that all Jews, regardless of Torah knowledge or practice, have a special soul that binds them to each other and God. Rabbi Chaim Dalfin suggests that it is beneficial for anyone to study and understand chasidus as a vibrant and intensely active form of Jewish life, even if they do not want to consider themselves "full-fledged chasidim."
