Guidance From the Rebbe
Personal Recollection 1961-1993
By Peter Kalms
(164 Pages)Publisher: Shamir, 2001
This volume is really a two-in-one book. Firstly it contains personal recollections of Peter Kalms on guidance he received from the Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem M. Schneersohn between the years 1961 and 1993. It includes records of 9 personal meetings with the Rebbe and many personal letters he and his family received from the Rebbe. It shows us the wide range of personal and practical advice that the Rebbe gave on such areas as family life, business decisions, and politics - especially concerning Israel. It shows the Rebbe's love, wisdom and vision for every person.
Also included is The Lubavitcher Rebbe on Science and Technology by Dr. Herman Branover, the head of the Center for Magnetohydrodynamic Studies and the Lady Davis Chair Professor at Ben-Gurion University, Beersheba. Branover summarizes what the Rebbe taught him, during 30 years of intensive contact, about such questions as: what science really is; is there truth in science; and why science in general and quantum physics in particular do not contradict the Torah.
