English text wraps around the central Aramaic and Hebrew making this unusual ketubah evocative of a page of Talmud. Gold foil stamping glitters on the initial capitals and the flower centers, which are illuminated much the same way as the medieval manuscripts that influenced their design. Phrases from the Song of Songs, in exquisitely detailed red filigree, balance the composition of the ketubah. At the top: "You have captured my heart, my sister, my bride." At the bottom: "This is my beloved, this is my friend." The artist does not offer personalization for this ketubah.
Print Method: Lithograph; Original Medium: Gouache, ink
English texts on all Ketubahs are interpretations and not literal translations.
