The design for this ketubah uses the letterforms of "Chet" and "Yud" to frame the enclosure for the ketubah vows. The letter Chet teaches us that "life" contains Divine Essence in our daily reality. Transcendence and abundant renewal are reflected in the canopy. Yud symbolizes spirituality and understanding. It represents the active force when bride and groom take responsibility for their actions and covenant. The themes which develop in this work are tenderness, commitment, and strength.
