The third illumination from Amy's Heritage Ketubah collection, Sweet Shelter honors the Jewish community of Sarajevo, Bosina-Herzegovina. This composition is based on the artist's interpretation of an embroidered wall hanging from a Jewish home dating from 19th century Sarajevo. The original embroidery is on display at the Orthodox Synagogue/Museum of Historic Old Town Sarajevo. This romantic composition draws the viewer back in time to when the Jewish community found shelter from the expulsion of 1492. This inspired design evokes romance, reflections of joy, celebration and the "sweet shelter" of marriage for generation to come!
