Description: With colors of either lavender this contemporary Tree of Life tzedakah box will match any decor. The principal of tzedakah, of giving, is one of the important principals in Judaism along with the study of torah and tikun olam, to repair the world. This would be a perfect bar or bat mitzvah gift.
The design of the Tree of Life was created with artist Julie Staller-Pentelnik. The glass has been sandblasted and fire polished in the kiln. If white flash glass is used, the leaves and trunk become clarified and color can then be added to the background of the image.
The sections of stained glass are hand cut, wrapped in copper, and soldered to form the shape before the base is added. The lid is then hinged to the top of the box allowing the giver to place coins or bills in the box and to remove the tzedakah as the money is donated.
