During this period, the Rebbe corresponded withhis parents, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok and Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson and worked to help rescue his father-in-law, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok from war-locked Europe. He also attended classes at the Sorbonne.
