Description: Jerusalem has been celebrated as the symbol of Israel's past and future glory. This contemporary stylized image of the city and the wall surrounding the Old City in iridescent glass expresses this theme in Jewish liturgy, poetry, and song.
The stained glass has been hand cut. Next, the graphic of the city is sandblasted into the glass. The glass is cleaned and ultra violet light glue is used to adhere the stained glass to the beveled glass base. Candle cups are added and the menorah is complete. There are nine candle holders - one for each of the eight nights of Hanukkah and one, the Shammos, to light the other candles each night.
