This unusual design is adapted from the the design used by the Jewish printer Shonsino as the first page of the Book of Joshua in 1488 Italy. The full page was enlarged and embossed on a metal sheet of silver alloy and enhanced by two additional embossings of brass and cooper creating an exquisite juxtaposition of Sephardic scroll work, clean composition and calligraphy for stunning look.
