Garments of the Soul:Vayishlach Yehoshua
The Chasidic Heritage Series
This discourse was delivered by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson at the Chasidic gathering of Shabbos Parshat Shlach, 28 Sivan 5736 (1976), and first published in 1988.
The discourse, structured on the opening words of the Haftorah read on Shabbos Shlach, discusses the differences between the spies sent by Moses and those sent by Joshua, by exploring the spiritual significance of both events and their application to our lives today.
In addition to the translation of the discourse and the Rebbe's footnotes, additional footnotes were added to further clarify the text, some of the Rebbe's footnotes have been elucidated, and many of the references have been quoted and explained. The Hebrew text has been reset with vowel marks and the Hebrew and English text are on facing pages. Includes an overview by Rabbi Josef Marcus.
