| Challah Board - The custom is to place two covered challahs on the table for every Shabbat and Holiday meal. After saying "Hamotzi lechem min ha'aretz", one challah is cut into pieces, dipped in salt (that recall the sacrifices in the Holy Temple) and passed around the table. Challah recalls the Mon (manna – “heavenly bread”) that sustained our forefathers through the desert. On Rosh Hashanah our custom is to dip the challah in honey. Judaism.com has the selection. All you need is the bread!
