| Havdalah - the beautiful service that separates the conclusion of Shabbat from the rest of the week. One will need a cup of wine, spices, and a candle with at least two wicks, and matches! Wine signifies joy - for the beginning of a new week; Spices - to "rejuvenate our weekday soul;" Fire - from Adam and Chava, who thanked God for fire at the end of the first Shabbat. After all blessings are recited, the wine is drunk and the candles are put out in the leftover wine.
