An beautiful, allegorical illustration of the Hebrew verses from Isaiah 55: 7-11 (only verses 9-11 appear in the painting). "The upper part of this picture represents the two types of earth in this allegory. In the background is the earth in its initial state, barren and unsown, scattered with rocks, upon which rain is falling yet nothing grows. Lack of preparation has caused its potential to lie unrealized. The inset picture represents the earth which has been properly prepared and sown to receive the abundance of G-d's rain - a blooming, fruitful orchard. At the bottom right, the heavens spread out infinitely in the distance, yet we can see only a small, obstructed view of this wonder through our window of limited comprehension."
Limited edition of 125. Each print is hand signed in paint by the artist on the front of the canvas. Each print is numbered and signed by the artist on the reverse side of the canvas. Israeli artist Myra Mandel includes a Certificate of Authenticity with each print. Giclee print on a heavy, textured canvas with a pronounced weave.
