Description: A starving Hershele leaves home to search for a solution to his hunger. His solution, though, gets his brother, Ber, into big trouble, and Hershele must set out, together with his nephew Yudele, on a campaign to free his brother from the hands of the cruel Poritz of Lidinka. A drunken merchant, a band of thieves, a group of angry villagers and some money-hungry tax officials stand in his way. And Hershele - with his legendary wit and humor, manages to get everyone dancing to the strains of his fiddle.
