| | | | | The Menorah is lit on the eight nights of Chanukah (Hanukkah), commemorating the miracle at the Temple in Jerusalem. Since the Chanukah lights are not to be used for any work, Menorahs have a ninth candle on them, called the Shamash, used to light the other candles. Menorahs come in all shapes and sizes, as you can see from the many categories below.
