The painting "In Peace You Shall be Led" celebrates G-d's promise to the Children of Israel in Isaiah 55:12, which starts with the words that appear in Hebrew in the upper right corner of the painting: "In joy you shall go forth and in peace you shall be led." The prophet speaks of the time of redemption, when G-d will fulfill his promise to gather in all the exiles from the four corners of the earth and bring them to the Land of Israel. The small inset below the tree shows a view of a mountain range as seen from the sea, much as the early Israeli immigrants saw from their boats. The Hebrew text in the larger box on the left: "The mountains and hills shall burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap..." The large tree, growing amidst a field of golden brown thorns, and the flowering myrtle branch at the bottom refer to what is written in Hebrew in the smaller box on the left: "In place of thorns, cypress shall rise, in place of nettles, myrtle shall grow". The text in this print blends gently with the artwork.

Limited edition of 125. Each print is hand signed in paint by the artist on the front of the canvas. Each print is numbered and signed by the artist on the reverse side of the canvas. Israeli artist Myra Mandel includes a Certificate of Authenticity with each print. Giclee print on a heavy, textured canvas with a pronounced weave. It is sprayed with 3-4 coats of a protective semi-gloss varnish. Unframed (Designed to fit a standard 18"x24" frame). Ships rolled in a tube. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping.
