How do I start a JDC Personal Registry? Creating a registry with is very simple. Just fill out a couple of online forms that tell us about yourself and your upcoming event. Then choose the items you want to include in your registry. How do I choose JDC items for my registry? Browse through the Judaism.com site and place an item you want into your "registry basket". You can now press the "Add To Registry" button to add this item to your registry now, or you can contintue browsing, choose more items and add the whole lot of them once you have chosen all the items you desire. If you log out of your registry or shut off your browser or computer, just return to www.judaism.com/registry, log in again and you can begin the process again.  Note: If you register for a series of books or a multiple volume set, after you press the "Add To Registry" button, you will be asked whether you want the set to be purchased all at once, or if you want different guests to be able to buy individual volumes. You can repeat the above process as many times as you want, as long as you are logged in to your registry. How do I choose Gift Certificates for my registry? When you are on the "Manage Your Registry" page, scroll down to the "Items In The Registry" section. Click on the "Gift Certificates" link. You will then receive a list of Gift Certificates available, divided up by category. Click on the name of each company to find out more about them. On the detail page you will be able to add them to your registry. Click on the category name or the "More..." link in the appropriate box to view all the companies in that category. How do I choose Donations for my registry? When you are on the "Manage Your Registry" page, scroll down to the "Items In The Registry" section. Click on the "Donations" link. You will then receive a list of National Charities available, divided up by category. Click on the name of each charitie to find out more about them. On the detail page you will be able to choose to make a donation to them. Click on the category name or the "More..." link in the appropriate box to view all the charities in that category. If you wish to view locally based charities pick a state from the "View Local Charities", then press the "View State" button. After that pick the city you wish to view. You will then receive a listing of the local charities in that city and state, in the same manner as the national charities. After you choose one or more charities, your guest will be automatically asked if they want to match your pledge to these charities during checkout. They can choose to donate to as many of the charities you have chosen as they want. They can also choose the percentage of their purchase they want to donate, they can even exceed your pledge! The donation will be added on to their order and distributed to the proper charities by Judaism.com. What else can I do with my registry? |
