Why Register For Jewish-Related Gifts?
You are about to embark on a Jewish journey - traveling from one stage of your life to another. Choosing to equip oneself with Jewish resources is an important component for extending the effects of your simcha by building Jewish literacy and commitment. Enabling family and friends to buy Jewish gifts for you also makes them feel involved in you simcha, and contributory to your future role in the Jewish community.
What about other Non-Judaic gifts I want?
Judaism.com’s got that covered as well. We know you want stuff from the stores you want to shop at the most, whether that be the GAP, Discovery Store, Barnes & Nobel, Banana, etc. As an option we allow you to register for gift certificates from your favorite stores. The guest of your registry can purchase these while shopping at your Judaism.com Gift Registry. No looking though dozens of websites. No extra trips to the store. Now Judaism.com can truly be a one-stop shop for all the needs of your simcha.

How can I incorporate Tzedakah (charity) into my registry?
Judaism.com is responsive to those of you, who recognize that with all the blessings that you have received, and will receive, that there are many who are less fortunate, and in need of your assistance, and causes that need to be supported.
To help you act on these feelings of gratitude, we have developed a unique Tzedekah registry that acts like none other.
How does the Tzedakah program work?
First, you, the celebrant, decides to pledge a % of the total value of the gifts you receive through the JDC Registry to a single charity or to be split between multiple charities of your choice. These organizations can be local, national or Israeli. This pledge is between you, and if appropriate, you parents. Judaism.com collects no money from this pledge, nor do we notify any charity of your intentions. Judaism.com will, however, keep track of the value of your gifts. The actual payment of the pledge, however, is between you (your parents) and the organization(s) specified.
When someone buys something from your JDC Registry, before they check out, they will be asked whether they want to match (or exceed) your pledged contribution to the charities that you have selected. If they agree, this donation is added to the cost of their purchase and added to their credit card. Judaism.com then distributes this contribution, in your honor, to the charities that you have specified. If they don’t decide to make a donation, they complete their transaction for the gift they have selected.
We believe that this aspect of your registry will provide a great deal of gratification for you and for the guests you have invited.

So Mazel Tov on your upcoming simcha.
Enjoy the preparations, and particularly the actual event. After both are over, you will be left with wonderful memories, lots of photographs and videos, and the gifts you received. Gifts of Jewish significance can extend and expand the meaning of your lifecycle passage, and can provide benefit for many years in the future.
