After reciting kiddush, the wine cup is passed around the table or poured into small glasses or liqueur cups for all to drink. Kiddush wines are traditionally sweet; there are no restrictions against using dry wine. Malog and concord grapes are the sweetest varieties. Lower alcohol and wines lighter in viscosity have gained popularity. Kiddush wines may be red, white or blush (rose). The term kiddush also refers to refreshments served either at home or at the synagogue following prayer services. Some wines are labelled as sacramental wine
