The Torah declares that the shofar (ram s horn) should be sounded on Rosh Hashanah as a means of awakening Jews to reflect on past deeds and to promote personal growth in the coming year. It is a mitzvah which recalls the sounding of the shofar at Mt. Sinai when the Torah was given, and the Jewish people became a nation.

The unique beauty of the Oryx horn is enhanced with decorative sterling silver bands and gold accents. High quality natural Gemsbok Oryx shofar made in Israel. The Gemsbok Oryx is a species of a large African antelope. Special Order: allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery

Our shofars are handcrafted in Israel and pre-tested for ease of use. All are certified kosher. Listed size is approximate, measurement along the outside edge of the curve. Shofar shown is for example only, color and shape will vary from the picture shown. Please note that the length of the shofar is approximate and may vary by an inch or two.
