The Adult Beginners Path to Biblical Hebrew By Ethelyn Simon and Irene Resnikoff (408 Pages)Publisher: EKS Publishing Co., 2000 Part of the "The First Hebrew Primer 3rd Edition" series.
Third Edition, completely revised text is designed to teach the student the skills needed for reading the Bible in the original Hebrew.
A comprehensive grammar for the beginning student, adult or older child. It systematically teaches Biblical Hebrew in a simple straightforward style. 30 lessons incorporate: verb, grammar, and spelling charts, vocabulary lists, oral reviews, exercises, stories, biblical quotes and guided reading through the Book of Ruth. It introduces 95% of the words appearing over 200 times in the Hebrew Bible.
This revised third edition introduces several new terms and clarifies grammatical points, but will look the same to long-time Primer readers. The key change we have made is the inclusion of new explanatory endnotes. Many readers have expressed a desire to deepen their knowledge of Biblical Hebrew, but have unanimously endorsed the clear, uncomplicated tone of the Primer. We have responded by adding these optional supplementary notes. Students may read the notes to enrich their understanding of Hebrew grammar or concentrate solely on the main text. Either way, the Primer provides a sound foundation for more advanced studies in the Hebrew Bible.
